We can’t pour from a cup that is empty. Sometimes, this ministry asks a lot of us – a lot of our time, energy and patience. Sometimes, that work is work and not play. We all need to enjoy being a part of this ministry, knowing we are part of a community of people who LOVE marriage!
As more and more “things” pull our time and attention away from focusing on our own Sacrament and from spending time with our own community and larger CEE Family, it’s even more important to come to the well to be replenished. The love, joy, and intimacy that drew us to participate in this ministry are the very things we need most during what can certainly be described as a challenging time for our Church, marriage, and our ministry. Come to the well. Rebuild on that foundation of love, joy, and intimacy.
Lodging
We have a block for the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Joliet. Rates are $119.00 for a King Standard room and $129.00 for a 2 Queen Standard room. The block extends from August 1st to August 3rd. The address is 3555 Mall Loop Drive, Joliet, IL. It is about 10 minutes from Joliet Catholic Academy and 20 minutes from the Joliet Slammers’ stadium. It is near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Hwy 30.

To use the booking link above, click the link and it will open a page that says Find the Best Price at the top. If you look at August 1st on the calendar, you will find the words ‘Catholic Engaged’. Click on that date. On the next screen, you can edit your dates at the top if needed. The block only covers August 1-3, or a 1 day stay within that range. If you change the dates, make sure to click Update before selecting your room.
